- Overview
- The Eastern Oregon Community Resource Network (EOCRN) connects resources to people by putting businesses and organizations in touch with each other in order to share information that will either promote the physical, educational, or mental development of children, or to provide for the basic needs of children, youth, families and adults.
- Members are permitted to use EOCRN to share extra resources for the benefit of children, youth, families and adults to seek help with unmet needs, or to share service-oriented events that will benefit children, youth, families or adults.
- Membership
- Members must be one the following entities:
- A public body in the State of Oregon ORS 174.109 defines “public body” as state government bodies, local government bodies, and special government bodies. “Special government bodies” include school districts, education service districts, community college districts, intergovernmental bodies, and entities created by statute/ordinance;
- A private non-profit corporation registered in the State of Oregon that serves or benefits children, youth, families and adults in Baker, Union, and Wallowa Counties;
- A private for-profit entity that is registered to do business
in the State of Oregon.A private for-profit entity that is registered to do business in the State of Oregon;
- Any federally recognized Indian Tribe within Baker, Union, and Wallowa counties;
- A registered charitable foundation that provides funding for services in Oregon;
- A private individual who has been sponsored by an approved EOCRN member and has been vetted by the backbone organization.
- Members shall meet locally with their respective convening cities on a quarterly basis.
- Each Member Organization, Agency, Business etc. shall designate the following representative to be present at quarterly membership meetings:
- Primary Representative: attend the local quarterly meetings and provide advice, information and decision making for the respective organization being represented
- Secondary Representative: serves in the absence of the Primary Representative
- Members must not discriminate on account of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, national origin, marital status or age in violation of Oregon or federal law.
- Membership is subject to approval by the EOCRN backbone organization who has complete discretion to deny or terminate membership at any time with approval from the Regional Steering Committee. Any new member request that is not approved has 15 days from the refusal notification to appeal to the Regional Steering Committee.
- Protocols
- EOCRN is a community collaborative supported by a backbone organization with local advisory committees and a regional steering committee. Material on this website, including text and images, is protected by copyright law and is copyrighted to EOCRN unless otherwise credited. No part of this website may be distributed or copied for any commercial purpose or financial gain. EOCRN membership reserves the right, and has complete discretion, to discontinue the operation of Community Resource Network at any time.
- EOCRN does not develop, produce, or endorse the information submitted or provided on the CRN site. EOCRN and the associated members, the backbone organization and its employees assume no liability and make no promises, representations, guarantees, or warranties as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information supplied to or by the website. EOCRN and the associated volunteers, the backbone organization and its employees assume no responsibility for the success, effectiveness, or outcome of any request.
- EOCRN and the associated members, the backbone organization and its employees assume no liability and make no promises, representations, guarantees, or warranties as to the value, merchantability, or fitness for a particular purpose of any products or services described, referenced, or offered herein.
- Member agrees to defend, save, indemnify, and hold harmless the EOCRN, and the associated volunteers, the backbone organization and its employees from and against all claims, suits, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses of any nature, including attorney fees, resulting from, arising out of, or relating to the Member’s, or its officers, employees, subcontractors, or agents, participation in EOCRN.
By requesting membership to EOCRN, you agree to the terms of use and exclusions and limitations of liability stated above, affirm that you are authorized to agree to these terms on behalf of your organization, and accept them as reasonable.
